MD Logistics continues Indianapolis growth
INDIANAPOLIS – National logistics company MD Logistics is capping an 18-month period of growth by renovating its local headquarters.
Since January 2012, MD Logistics has hired 21 full-time employees at its Plainfield locations, which represents a 15-percent workforce increase. This growth called for additional dedicated workspaces and group meeting areas.
The 4,000-square-foot renovation includes large and small conference rooms, employee and visitor lobbies, and an expanded employee break room. The new space enhances MD Logistics’ retail division by placing employees in a community setting that offers clients a welcoming atmosphere.

November is recognized as American Diabetes Month. MD Logistics has been a long time sponsor of Camp John Warvel, which is hosted by the Indiana Chapter of the American Diabetes Association (ADA). To further support diabetes awareness, we’d like to share with you Caleb’s story.
When Caleb Emery of Indianapolis was diagnosed with diabetes at age 10, his mother, Amber, was determined to support him completely. Amber quickly learned to count carbs, give injections, and work his insulin pump. But one thing she couldn’t give him: Other kids with diabetes to hang out with.
So she registered Caleb at Camp John Warvel, a week long residential camp for children with diabetes.

MD Logistics named a Great Supply Chain Partner in 2013
INDIANAPOLIS –MD Logistics is among the 100 Great Supply Chain Partners for 2013, as named by SupplyChainBrain. The award, in its 11th year, recognizes services providers whose solutions have had a significant effect on a customer’s efficiency, customer service and overall supply chain performance.
MD Logistics was selected after a six-month nomination period from more than 2,500 companies.

This year was the fourth year MD Logistics has participated in the regional LogistXgames in Indianapolis. Finishing third, this is the second year in a row we have placed in the Top 3, which qualifies us to participate in the National LogistXgames taking place in Louisville next month. Our team was led by Operations Manager Janet Preston and consisted of Ryan Somsky, Matt Goley, Derek Young, Noah Salas and Randy Williams.
The LogistXgames brings together the quick and agile of warehouse employees for some good-natured competition. Creating teams of five, companies compete in the Pallet Puzzle Sprint, Pallet Jack Relay Race, Pick/Pack Hurdle, and the Box Put, all to pursue the highest honor; winning the Golden Pallet.
