INDIANAPOLIS – MD Logistics has been named among the top 100 3PL providers in the country by Inbound Logistics for the second consecutive year.

The recognition continues an award-winning trend for the Midwest-based company, which was recently named a Great Supply Chain Partner in 2013 by SupplyChainBrain.

“The editors of Inbound Logistics recognize MD Logistics as leaders serving the burgeoning global supply and logistics challenges of our readers,” says Felecia Stratton, editor of Inbound Logistics. “It’s important for a logistics partner to act as a business change agent, driving their customers’ ability to match demand for their products more closely to supply.  “That is what MD Logistics does, and why we’re happy to recognize them as a Top 100 3PL.”

As one of the fastest-growing 3PL (third-party logistics) providers in the Midwest, MD Logistics is continually expanding its pharmaceutical and life sciences division and retail and consumer services based on customer needs. In recent years, the company opened a facility in Reno, Nev., to better serve the West Coast and activated a pharmaceutical foreign trade zone in its Plainfield, Ind., location.

Inbound Logistics awarded the designation after a careful selection process, which included personal interviews, industry research and current trends in supply chain logistics.
