The Nippon Express Group has transitioned to a holding company structure with the establishment of Nippon Express Holdings, Inc. (Mitsuru Saito, President) on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

The environment surrounding the logistics industry worldwide continues to be severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, creating instability and increasingly unpredictable conditions, even as the industry also faces pressing needs to mount potent global responses to the Sustainable Development Goals, digital transformation and a steadily growing list of other critical challenges. To realize the long-term vision set forth in its current business plan of becoming “a logistics company with a strong presence in the global market” even under these circumstances, the Group is restructuring its management system to achieve even speedier decision-making and maximize its value as a corporate group.

In conjunction with this transition, “NX” will be introduced as a new Group brand and the corporate group name will likewise be changed from the Nippon Express Group to the NX Group. Relocation to the NX Group Building, a new integrated base for the Group, has been completed, and today marks the grand opening of that facility.

Since its inception in 1937, the Group has grown its business internationally from Japan by connecting people, companies and regions through logistics and thereby contributed to the advancement of society. This will remain the Group’s mission as it marshals the Group’s full capabilities under the new brand to evolve into an even more powerful corporate entity while generating new value from the logistics domain.

The NX Group will be striving to implement sustainable management from a long-term perspective, to shine as an even more trusted corporate presence in the eyes of its customers and society in the years to come, and to pool the Group’s strengths to create further growth and greater corporate value.
